          IT Support Technician

          Job Description

          We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team! This role will be based in the Greater Toronto Area. You will be eager to learn innovative technologies and be able to easily grasp new systems. This role is 100% remote.  

          The ideal candidate is located within driving distance of the Greater Toronto Area & Lower Ontario cities with access to a vehicle, and the ability to travel in the Greater Toronto Area (as far south as London), for client emergencies and to provide service to clients. 

           

          Candidate should have a great personality and enjoy working in a remote team environment. This is a full-time, permanent position with an excellent benefits package and room for growth.  

           

          Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

          • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft’s core business applications and operating systems including O365 
          • Support of disaster recovery solutions 
          • Intermediate technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, printers/scanners, routers, firewalls, and security 
          • Remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, RDS (Remote Desktop Services), and Terminal Services 
          • Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications, and respond accordingly through service tickets 
          • System documentation maintenance and review. 
          • Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages 
          • Professional Service and project implementation 
          • Help with hardware set up and delivery to “local” Ontario locations 
          • Travel may be required from time to time required to client sites in and around the greater Toronto area & lower Ontario cities.  
          • Travel will be required to ActiveCo headquarters in Vancouver several times a year. 

           

          Knowledge & Skills: 

          • At least 1 Industry recognized Certification – (MS-900, MD-100, or AZ-900 to be obtained within the first 6 months of employment) 
          • Datto Certified Advanced Technician (DCAT) 
          • Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems 
          • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care 
          • Diagnosis skills of technical issues and detailed documentation 
          • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly 
          • Technical awareness: ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately 
          • Service awareness of all organization’s key IT services for which support is being provided 
          • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services 
          • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details 
          • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment

                  People Operations Coordinator

                  Job Description

                  We are seeking an enthusiastic People Operations Coordinator to join our award-winning team!

                  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

                  • Impacting culture by creating opportunities for teams to connect by planning company events & activities

                  • Facilitation of reoccurring internal meetings such as monthly all team meetings, leadership meetings and other meetings as needed

                  • Handle general HR tasks & projects such as confidential filing, maintaining HRIS system, employment verifications, and payroll assistance

                  • Handle a variety of administrative duties around the office

                  • Light accounting duties like AR & AP

                  Plan and organize new team member onboarding for a flawless onboarding experience

                  • Doing what it takes to create an amazing experience for team members and to build trust and credibility within the organization

                  Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

                  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience

                  • At least two years of Human Resources or Office experience is required

                  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality

                  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment

                  • Professional integrity and sense of ownership and accountability

                  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook

                  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

                  • Excellent organizational skills; both analytical and problem solving

                  • A proven ability to work with confidential documents

                  • A proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

                  Salary, Benefits, Culture:

                  Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 depending on experience

                  Benefits include Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Vision & Dental Insurance, and two weeks of vacation time, after twelve months of employment.
